We can get you (or your team) using Xero and Quickbooks simply and easily for all ‘day to day’ activity, as well as offering training on basic and more advanced features of the software. We also provide an ongoing support service to your business with ‘troubleshooting’ errors, providing advice or guidance, where this is necessary.

What does our training include?

We offer a variety of different training options for different types of users on the software – from business owners to be able to use the basic functions of the software, to more advanced or training to ‘in house’ bookkeeping staff, through to an introduction to the software for those who want to navigate the software and the reporting features.
Our training modules include the following:


  • Introduction to Xero/Quickbooks and reporting
  • Basics training.
  • Advanced training.
  • Specialist training options (Purchase Orders, Advanced Banking, Payment Automation (with Transferwise), VAT ‘Deep dive’ etc. )

Basic Training

To ensure that all Users can immediately manage the ‘day to day’ processing of transactions with a ‘best practice’ approach from Day 1 including:

  • Setting the right security
  • Ensuring ‘bank feeds’ are in place (or that data can be imported, if not possible)
  • Using key Dashboards
  • Adding Customers and Suppliers
  • Raising Customer invoices
  • Processing Supplier invoices
  • Managing bank transactions and reconciliations
  • Running simple reports

Advanced Training

To enable ‘inhouse’ bookkeepers or business owners comfortable with the basics of Xero and Quickbooks to take advantage of more advanced features and introduce more efficiencies including:

  • Use of Estimates and Purchase orders for certain types of businesses
  • Creation of ‘recurring’ sales invoices
  • Use of Email reminders and standard email templates with Sales invoices
  • Use of Journals and the creation of ‘recurring’ journals
  • Use of the Find and Recode option to manage corrections and adjustments
  • Overview of VAT reports
  • Advanced bank features such as bank rules, cash coding (Xero)
  • Issue of Supplier Remittances
  • Use of the Payment services (for faster payment by customers)

What happens when you book Training with Sakura

  • Ahead of the training session, we obtain the details of any specific areas that are of concern, specific issues that require to be addressed, and add them to the Q&A section of the training programme.
  • We liaise ahead of the training to ensure that Sakura and the Users, both have the necessary access, the correct security is in place and that bank feeds are ready for connection. We also provide an Agenda and Programme for the training session.

  • During the course of the training, we ensure that we cover the key aspects with the level of detail that you require, and allow for the Q&A section to deal with any of your specific queries or issues.

  • We arrange a brief ‘check in’ post training to ensure that you are using the features of the software as discussed and/or to deal with any specific issues or queries.

What does our Support Service include?

We provide an ongoing monthly support service for clients with Xero or Quickbooks software, providing ‘troubleshooting’ responses for the following:

  • General system or setup issues
  • Invoice templates
  • Systems problems or error messages
  • Bookkeeping errors, omissions and duplications etc advice or guidance.
  • Assisting with the set up of additional features in Xero or Quickbooks software e.g. recurring invoices, purchase orders/estimates, payment runs/batches, email templates etc
  • general advice and guidance

We also educate clients on the use of system ‘shortcuts’ when appropriate, along with updating on new developments and improvements that are released by Xero or Quickbooks throughout the year.

Finally we also offer a ‘one off’ ‘troubleshooting’ service is for ‘non accountancy’ clients or clients that require only occasional support with resolving issues as follows:
