How We’re Using AI to Support You Better
AI and automation are changing the way many business sectors work including accounting practices. But we’re not here to chase trends. We’re focused on how these tools can help us deliver a better, more efficient service to you.
We’re still in the early stages, but we’re already seeing how the right AI tools can save time, improve accuracy, and make our communication with clients even clearer.
What We’re Using Right Now (And Why It Helps You)
We’ve started using two AI tools that are already making a real difference:
- Fathom AI – This tool helps us WITH online meetings by automatically taking notes and creating a summary. That means:
- We can focus much more on the conversation without trying to take notes of the discussion
- You get a clear, accurate summary of what we discussed immediately following the meeting, if required
- Nothing gets missed, even in fast-paced conversations.
- Plaud AI – This works in a similar way, but for face-to-face meetings.
- It lets us stay fully engaged in the conversation while still capturing the key points.
- You’ll walk away with a summary that’s easy to refer back to, if required
Following the meeting – especially helpful for complex topics like business exits or business strategy ETC..
These tools aren’t replacing anything they’re just helping us work smarter and communicate better with you.
What We’re Continuing to Explore
We’re also looking at how AI might help in other areas of our work, particularly where it could improve your experience as a client:
- Faster responses to common questions – Some of the software we use is starting to include AI features that could help us respond to FAQs more quickly and consistently. That means you get answers faster especially for things like deadlines, allowable expenses, or Companies House updates.
- Drafting documents more efficiently – We’re exploring how AI might help us prepare draft engagement letters, onboarding packs, or meeting follow- ups. The goal? To get you the information you need, faster and with less back-and-forth.
- Improving accuracy and consistency – AI can help us double-check data, spot anomalies, and reduce the risk of human error giving you more confidence in the numbers and advice we provide.
What We’re Not Doing!
We’re not handing over control to AI. We’re not using it to make decisions for us or for you. And we’re definitely not using tools that compromise on data security, compliance, or professional judgement. If a tool doesn’t clearly benefit you or improve how we work together, we’re not interested. .
Final Thoughts
We see AI as a way to enhance not replace the service we provide. It’s about freeing up time, improving accuracy, and helping us stay responsive and proactive. We’ll keep testing, learning, and sharing what works, and only adopt tools that genuinely help us work better or smarter!
